Birt-Hogg-Dubé syndrome: Multiple, skin-coloured, flesh-coloured and whitish, partly waxy, relatively coarse, 2?5 mm large, hemispherical asymptomatic papules in the nose and cheek area of a 47-year-old female patient.
Acne comedonica. general view: Recurrent multiple, disseminated standing retention cysts of 0.3-1.2 cm size on the back of a 38-year-old man, recurring since adolescence; multiple black comedones (blackheads) are also present.
Epidermal cysts. 48-year-old female patient, skin change since 1 year, progressive. findings: Multiple, disseminated, localized on forehead and cheeks, skin-colored, rough, noncolored papules with smooth surface, about 0.3 x 0.8 cm in size.
Basal cell carcinoma, sclerodermiformes; difficult to diagnose finding in a 58-year-old man: telangiectasia of the upper lip as well as an indicated, hardly visible, brighter spot without a marginal wall or increased telangiectasia below the left nostril.
Dry keratotic plaque type Chronically active, intermittent plaques, which have existed for more than 20 years, especially on the palm of the hand, multiple, rough, partly reddish, scaly, blurred spots, plaques and rhagades in a 54-year-old man.
Scleroderma, circumscribed. untreated, ligamentous, circumscribed scleroderma with extreme atrophy of the skin, subcutaneous fatty tissue and muscles, joint contractures
Arteriitis temporalis. string-like thickened, focal indurated and painful arteria temporalis. at the same time strong, right-sided, temporal headache. no visual disturbances.
Lichen myxoedematosus: Lichenoids, clearly increased in consistency, skin-coloured to yellowish-reddish papules in the area of the upper back and the extensor sides of the extremities; accompanying pruritus.
Alopecia, post-menopausal, frontal, fibrosing: typical follicular inflammatory pattern (see frontal hairline). No symptoms. This results in a backward development of the forehead-hairline.
Cheilitis actinica chronica, extensive "epidermization" of the lower lip. blurred border to the skin of the lips. pronounced actinic elastosis of the skin.
