Lupus erythematosus systemic: persistent, blurred, red, butterfly-like distributed spots in the right cheek area of a 27-year-old female patient with SLE known for years.
lupus erythematosus systemic. persistent, sharply defined, symmetrical, non-scaly erythema of the face after exposure to sunlight. known Raynaud's phenomenon. individual enanthema of the oral mucosa (hard palate and cheek mucosa). distinct disturbance of the general condition with arthralgias, fever up to 38° C. typical - butterfly pattern - ("butterfly mask") with free perioral triangle. bridge of nose, upper eyelid and tip of chin are affected.
Lupus erythematosus systemic. persistent, blurred, deep red, butterfly-like erythema in the face of a 29-year-old female patient with SLE, which has been known for years. Occasionally small papules and plaques are also found, some with firmly adhering scaling (lower lip area).
Lupus erythematosus systemic: fixed (persistent), relatively sharply defined, deep red, "butterfly-like" flake-free () erythema (the term plaque on the face of a 32-year-old female patient. SLE has been known for years. Typical is the erythema-free perioral zone and orbital region.
Systemic lupus erythematosus: after exposure to sunlight the findings worsen significantly with persistent, moderately sharply defined, symmetrical, non-scaling red plaques.
Typical - butterfly pattern - with a free perioral triangle. Bridge of nose, upper eyelids and tip of chin are affected.
Raynaud's phenomenon; disturbance of the general condition with arthralgia, fever up to 38°C.
Typical - butterfly pattern - with free perioral triangle. Bridge of nose, lips (chronic cheilitis) are also affected. Furthermore: Raynaud's phenomenon; disturbance of the AZ, arthralgia.
Systemic lupus erythematosus: flat, localized, moderately sharply defined, symmetrical, moderately consistent, non-scaling red plaques; conspicuous protrusion of the follicles (see arrow and inlet)
Systemic lupus erythematosus: persistent, light-provocable, deep red plaques in the face of a 22-year-old female patient; detailed view with depiction of red lips (affected) and perioral region.
lupus erythematosus, systemic. persistent, light-provocable deep red, plaques in the face of a 22-year-old female patient. SLE known for several years. occasionally small scaly and crusty papules.
Systemic lupus erythematosus: changes in the oral mucosa with extensive erosions and veil-like whitish plaques; spicy and very warm food leads to considerable painful burning.
Systemic lupus erythematosus: acute maculopapular exanthema, accompanied by recurrent fever attacks, fatigue and exhaustion, arthralgia, inflammation parameters +, ANA high titer positive, rheumatoid factor +, DNA-AK+. UV-relatedness of the exanthema is not detectable.
Systemic lupus erythematosus: detailed picture: acute maculo-papular exanthema, accompanied by recurrent fever attacks, fatigue and tiredness, arthralgia, inflammation parameters +, ANA high titer positive, rheumatoid factor +, DNA-AK+.
Systemic lupus erythematosus: pronounced findings with bilateral, symmetrical, flat plaque formation in the décolleté. Apparent UV-emphasis. Fine central scarring in the plaques.
Lupus erythematosus systemic: characteristic "collagenosis hands" with variable blue-red and livid-red spots. 83-year-old patient with known (since several years proven) systemic lupus erythematosus.
Systemic lupus erythematosus (late onset): characteristic "collagenosis hands" with variable blue-red and livid-red patches. 83-year-old patient with known (since several years proven) systemic lupus erythematosus.
Lupus erythematosus systemic (late onset) characteristic "collagenosis hands" with persistent, acaral accentuated livid-red plaques, hypercratic nail fold and small hemorrhages. 83-year-old patient with known (since several years proven) systemic lupus erythematosus.
lupus erythematosus, systemic. skin changes induced by sunlight irradiation. slightly atrophic surface epithelium. fibrin permeated str. corneum. loose, epitheliotropic, interstitial, lymphocytic infiltrate. focal vacuum degeneration of basal epithelia (left in picture). several cytoid corpuscles.
Systemic lupus erythematosus (overview): direct immunofluorescence (DIF) with detection of the lupus band at the dermo-epidermal junction zone as well as at the BM of the follicular epithelium; the lupus band consists of deposits of immune complexes ( no basement membrane antibodies!)
