Polcalcine

Panallergen (wie Profiline) das für multiple Pollensensibilisierungen und zusätzlich für Kreuzreaktionen zwischen Pollen, Nahrungsmitteln und Latex verantwortlich ist . Polcalcine sind Ca++-bindende Allergene . Sie werden, wie der Name ausdrückt, nur in Pollen exprimiert. Ihre genaue biologische Funktion ist bisher noch nicht bekannt. Möglicherweise spielen sie für die Pollenkeimung eine wichtige Rolle.
