Scutellarein

Methylated flavone derivative contained in e.g. Orthosiphon stamineus (see also eupatorin, sinensitin). In experimental approaches, scutellarein has been shown to have antiproliferative, neuroprotective and anti-angiogenetic effects. The anti-angiogenetic effect is induced by a modulation of the growth factor VEGF.
