Leishmaniasis, cutaneous. 0.8 x 0.5 cm measuring, coarse, not pressure-sensitive, not painful, livid, sharply defined, circumscribed lump in the area of the lower lip in a 37-year-old man. Stinging event by an insect about 10 months ago on holiday in Greece was recalled. About 3 months later the development of the skin change began.
Dermatosis, acute febrile neutrophils. following high fever in a 36-year-old woman, acutely occurring multiple, reddish-livid, succulent, pressure-dolent, infiltrated papules confluent to nodules and plaques. overall generalized picture with emphasis on extremities and trunk.
Folliculitis barbae: Chronic therapy-resistant, inflammatory follicular papules and pustules in the area of the cheeks; Staphylococcus aureus could be obtained from pustular material several times.
Lupus erythematosus, subacute cutaneous l upus erythematosus, detail enlargement: Multiple, small to large stained, sharply defined, annular and laminar, partly slightly scaly erythema in the face of a 54-year-old woman with Ro-positive subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus.
Elastosis actinica. deep wrinkles and bulging skin relief of the perioral region of a 69-year-old female patient. deep furrows starting from the corners of the mouth are also visible, which very much hinder the complete closure of the lips, so that saliva is repeatedly leaking ("drooling").
Acne cystica, densely sown, yellowish-white, skin-coloured sebaceous retention cysts and numerous "ice-pick" scars in the cheek and chin area of a 34-year-old woman.
rosacea fulminans: acute flare with numerous, painful, sometimes confluent pustules. no general symptoms. no long-term pretreatment with external glucocorticoids.
Dermal melanocytic nevus: known since earliest childhood. Only in recent years clear exophytic growth. The birthmark has become increasingly discoloured and the growing bristle hairs are depilated regularly.
Basal cell carcinoma, nodular. 74-year-old female patient, solitary, continuously growing for 2 years, measuring 1.5 x 1.2 cm, indolent, firm, skin-coloured, covered with telangiectases, rough, knot with a bulging, shiny surface.
Adenoma sebaceum: disseminated, densely packed, chronically stationary (no dynamic development), completely asymptomatic, reddish-brownish, 0.1-0.4 cm in size, red, reddish-brown and skin-coloured, individually standing and aggregated papules with symmetrical, centrofacial emphasis; slight seborrhoea; no comedones.
rosacea. rosacea erythematosa, stage I of rosacea. large, chronically active, itchy, anaemic, red spots (rosacea erythematosa). months of pre-treatment with a corticosteroid externum. atrophy of the surface epithelium.
Verrucae planae juveniles: Polygonal, yellowish papules the size of a pinhead, partly with discrete scaling, first appeared on the chin of a 10-year-old boy half a year ago.
