sarcoidosis: anular or circine chronic sarcoidosis of the skin. existing for about 5 years. onset with papules the size of a pinhead (see middle of the cheek) with appositional growth and central healing. no detectable systemic involvement. findings: asymptomatic, brown to brown-red, borderline, centrally atrophic, little infiltrated, confluent lesions in the face in several places.

rosacea erythematosa: extensive and even redness of both cheeks. alternate course of redness. intensification with slight swelling due to cold/warm change or after alcohol consumption.

Elastoidosis cutanea nodularis et cystica. multiple, chronic inpatient, bds. periorbital localized, 0.2-0.4 cm large, blurred, soft, symptomless, black papules (comedones) and yellow papules (nodular elastosis). occurs in a 65-year-old man with chronic UV exposure over decades.

Erythema perstans faciei. persistent, asymptomatic, symmetrically arranged reddening of the face, which increases with excitement and stress

Dyskeratosis follicularis. reflected light microscopy: section of a lesion on the neck. yellowish-white keratin plaques (orthohyperkeratosis) and areas with ball-shaped, ectatic central capillaries (acantholysis area).

psoriasis vulgaris. seborrhoid psoriasis. large, flat, red, rough plaques with fine-lamellar scaling, localized by the centrofacial system, appearing in a 26-year-old woman. similar skin changes were found on the trunk and the extensor extremities. relapsing course of the disease since adolescence.

Elastosis actinica: severe flat elastosis of the skin with whitish "deposits" and wrinkles.

Merkel cell carcinoma, rough, shifting, non-painful tumour in the cheek area of an elderly patient, growth within 4 months.

Lentigo solaris (solar lentigo): Light brown, sharply defined spot in the area of chronically UV-exposed facial skin.

Nevus, melanocytic, papillomatous, large nevus on the face, clearly elevated above the skin level, unchanged for years.

Ulerythema ophryogenes, extensive erythema with (scarred) rareification of the eyebrows.

Mixed connective tissue disease, swelling and diffuse redness of the eyelids, perioral pallor; extensive erythema of the neck and décolleté, tired facial expression, detection of U1-nRNP antibodies.

Impetigo contagiosa. unusually extensive findings (lack of care) in a 22-year-old woman with atopic eczema. extensive, yellowish-smeared crusts and scales. fresh pustules can be detected in the marginal area of the lesions. the finding is classic for contagious impetigo, which is less frequently found in adults, more frequently in infants.

Basal cell carcinoma, destructive ulcer of the right temple of a 67-year-old woman, which has been growing slowly and progressively for several years and measures approx. 5 x 3.5 cm. The largely clean ulceration shows isolated fibrinous coatings and small crusts at the ulcer margins. The edge of the ulcer is bulging or rough, especially towards the lateral corner of the eye. Minor actinic keratoses on the forehead are also present.

Granuloma eosinophilicum faciei (Granuloma faciale): Typical finding in a 72-year-old man. No significant secondary diseases, no medication history. The finding has existed for several years, is slowly progressive. No significant symptoms.
