Also known as Inter-Cellular-Adhesion-Molecule-1 (ICAM-1) CD54 is a ligand for CD11a (LFA-1). CD54 mediates the adhesion of T cells to antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and from T cell to T cell and T cell to B cell interactions. CD54 is also a receptor for rhinoviruses.
