Livedo racemosa: bizarre pattern with sharply interrupted, age-interpreted ring structures

Livedo racemosa: close-up.

Livedo racemosa: section through the skin (cross section through striated erythema). vessel completely closed in the rectangle; encircled: eccrine sweat glands, horizontal arrow: hair follicles, vertical arrow: normal small artery

Livedo reticularis: marbled skin with symmetrical, reticulated erythema, which only appears in cold weather and disappears completely when rewarmed; the schematic drawing explains the phenomenon of "ring formation" with the oxygenation of the blood sloping down towards the laxative vessel, which leads to an intensified red-violet drawing of the skin.
