A shrub plant growing wild in forests and bushes, but also cultivated in gardens, up to 1.50 m high, which is highly prized for its fruit, raspberries. The fruits are eaten raw or in jam, jelly, jelly, juice or similar.
The dried leaves (raspberry leaves - Rubi idaei folium) are used phytotherapeutically; the quality is specified in the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.).
