Malvae folium

Phytotherapeutically used leaves of mallow, quality of the following drugs or drug preparations is defined in the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.).

HMPC monograph: Traditional-use: soothing for mucosal irritation in the mouth and throat and dry irritating cough associated with this; mild, gastrointestinal complaints
ESCOP: monograph only for the mallow flowers
Commission E-monograph: mucosal irritation in the mouth and throat, dry irritating cough associated with this.

empirical medicine: gastritis, irritable stomach, wound treatment in the form of compresses

Allergy to one of the ingredients, children under 12 years, no reliable data in pregnancy and lactation.
