Benzyl cinnamate

Perfume and aroma. Because of its allergological relevance, the substance is included in the epicutaneous test series"Fragrance Further" and"Peru Balsam Post-Testing". The sensitizing potency is to be classified as "medium" (see below fragrances).

A natural component of many essential flower oils of ylang-ylang, jasmine and gold varnish, benzyl alcohol is also found in genuine rose oil, in extracts of hyacinth and cassien flower and of robinia. It is also found in various aromatic balsams such as Peru balsam, Tolu balsam, Styrax and Propolis.
