ecchymosis syndrome, painful, intermittent manifestation of painful skin bleeding in a 48-year-old man. initial development of oedematous, overheated, pressure-sensitive erythema. subsequent development of skin bleeding and slow expansion of the skin changes. scarless healing after 1-2 weeks. in the present case, there was a severely pronounced clinical picture with multiple accompanying symptoms, especially fever, weight loss, fatigue, muscle and headaches, arthralgia, epistaxis, haemoptysis and haematuria.
Glomus tumor. reflected light microscopy: Livid striped vascular drawing below the nail plate in the area of the lunula and the eponychium. in this area a punctual, strong pressure pain can be induced.
Dermatitis perioralis. periorally localized, large red spots, smallest follicular vesicles and papules. perioral dermatitis is characterized by an inflammation-free zone immediately adjacent to the red of the lips. 21-year-old woman with several months of therapy with an extemporaneous formulation containing glucorticoids.
Erythromelalgia. seizure-like, very painful, hyperemic, reddened and swollen skin of the hands and feet with increased sensitivity to heat. improvement of symptoms by cooling under running water.
Livedo reticularis: right shoulder of a 24-year-old woman after sauna visit with cold shower. The completely symptom-free anular erythema disappears completely after 10-20 minutes.
Acrodermatitis chronica atrophicans. general view: blurred, livid red, spots on the right thigh. skin in the lower area (arrow mark) folded like cigarette paper
Glomus tumor. solitary, painful, reddish discoloration under the nail of the right ring finger in a 43-year-old female patient. parallel stabbing pain occurred, which occasionally radiated into the upper arm.
Angiosarcoma of the skin of the head and face. flat, smooth, asymptomatic, chronically dynamic, slowly growing, red plaques without epidermal involvement in a 68-year-old man.
Purpura, thrombocytopenic (detailed illustration): fresh haemorrhages are marked by arrows; yellowish haemosiderin deposits are circled and marked by stars.
melanoma, malignant, acrolentiginous. incident light microscopy. streaky, brown (melanotic) hyperpigmentation of the nail plate. complicating superimposition: fresh, red splatter-like bleeding after still recallable trauma).
Purpura, thrombocytopenic: colorful picture with fresh, punctiform, red bleedings as well as older, yellowish, hemosiderotic inclusions (see following figure)
Dermatitis perioralis. perioral localized, flat redness (compare the surrounding normal skin), follicular papules and individual pustules. clinical picture in a 22-year-old Ethiopian woman after several months of therapy with a glucocrticoid ointment.
