Late syphilis: asymmetrical, completely symptomless, anilary, granulomatous reddish-brown plaque.

Xanthogranuloma juveniles (sensu strictu). soft elastic, yellowish, completely asymptomatic, hardly elevated plaques. no Darier's sign! 10-month-old female infant with multiple xanthogranulomas. size growth in the first months of life.

Massive lichenification of the skin (see radial lip furrows) as an expression of the chronic inflammatory remodelling of the thickened skin.

Dermatitis contact allergic: Acutely appeared, large red spots and plaques with rough, partly scaly surface as well as haemorrhagic vesicles in an 18-month-old boy. The skin changes occurred a few hours after extensive application of a cream containing lidocaine.

Transitory acantholytic dermatosis (M.Grover): a few weeks old, only moderately pruritic clinical picture with disseminated papules and also papulo vesicles; Nikolski phenomenon negative.

Psoriasis guttata: mixed picture between psoriasis guttata with numerous "fresh" small psoriatic lesions and coin-sized psoriatic plaques existing for a long time

Sarcoidosis plaque form: Symptomless, 5.0 cm large, coarse lamellar scaling plaque that has existed for several years.

Keratosis seborrheic (plaque type): Flat irregularly bordered pigmented plaque.

Scabies: dissseminated, fresh and older, erythematous papules, multiple scratch artifacts and erosions on the back of a 47-year-old female patient

Pityriasis rosea: Characteristic exanthema that exists for a few weeks, only slightly itchy, and orientation in the cleavage lines is visible.

Poikilodermia vascularis atrophicans: 72-year-old patient with a slowly progressive, varicolored-checked clinical picture of the skin, which has been present for > 15 years. the varicolored-checked skin is caused by reticular or stripe-shaped erythema and plaques. reticular or flat brown discoloration (hyperpigmentation) is also found. present is a "poikilodermatic mycosis fungoides".

dermatitis, adult seborrhoeic: partly small spots, partly blurred erythema with small lamellar scaly deposits. slight feeling of tension. no significant itching. skin changes have existed for years to varying degrees. in summer, clearly improved or completely disappeared.

Lentigo maligna with transition to a lentigo maligna melanoma: bizarrely configured brown spot with palpable induration in the distal part (darker colored).

Nevus melanocytic more common: junctional and dermal melanocytic cell nests, superficially epitheloid and differently pigmented.

eczema, contact eczema, allergic. multiple, acute, continuously progressive for 4 weeks, large-area, isolated and confluent, blurred (scattered edges), severely itching, red, rough, scaly, weeping plaques. polymorphism by papules, erosions, vesicles

Lichen planus. for several weeks persistent, itchy, polygonal, partly confluent, red, smooth papules. infestation also of other skin areas.

PEP. Severe itching, red papules on the trunk of a 26-year-old pregnant woman in the 3rd trimester.
