Vascular malformation (venous vascular malformation): soft and compressible venous malformation that has remained unchangedfor years, with a cutaneous and a subcutaneous portion (see figure below).
Lichen planus actinicus: anularsmaller lesions and merged into larger map-like borderline plaques; in the prominent borderline area the violet shade of lichen "ruber" is found.
Leprosy. leprosy lepromatosa (-LL-): disease pattern with papules and nodules in diffuse distribution that has been continuously developing for many years; loss of eyebrows, partial loss of eyelashes (Alopecia lepromatosa)
psoriasis seborrhoeic type: recurrent, location-constant and therapy-resistant "seborrhiasis" for several years. no evidence of atopic diseases. circumscript infestation of eyebrows, eyelids and cheeks.
Dermatitis chronic actinic: Severe extensive, permanently itchy eczema reaction of the entire face with intensification of the eyelid regions. improvement in the winter months. recurrence with low UV irradiation.
Granuloma eosinophilicum faciei (Granuloma faciale). approx. 0.8 cm in diameter, solitary, slow-growing, slightly raised, moderately coarse, red node. characteristic is the strawberry-like surface. diascopic: yellow-brownish self-infiltrate. no subjective complaints, no accompanying internal symptoms.
Basal cell carcinoma (overview): Nodular, centrally decaying basal cell carcinoma, excessive spread; diagnostically important are the bizarre, large-calibre tumour vessels that extend mainly over the peripheral areas.
Scleromyxedema. 52-year-old patient shows a diffuse thickening and discreet reddening of the facial skin. Especially in the area of the glabella there is a bulging overlapping thickening of the skin folds.
Lupus erythematodes chronicus discoides: bizarrely limited white (follicular) scar with injected red scaly plaques with atrophic surface, adherent scaling; beginning mutilation of the auricular cartilage as a sign of deep-reaching inflammation.
Elastoidosis cutanea nodularis et cystica: multiple, chronic inpatient, 0.2-0.4 cm large, symptomless, black papules (comedones) and yellow papules and nodules. 72-year-old man with massive chronic UV exposure over decades.
Lupus erythematosus acute-cutaneous: symmetrical red spots, patches and plaques in the face, neck and upper trunk areas that have been present for several weeks.
Acne excoriée des jeunes filles. multiple, symmetrically distributed, increasing, inflammatory, red papules and pustules as well as comedones and small scars in a 27-year-old woman. originally there were significantly fewer papules and pustules. for about 4 years the patient has tried to express the papules and pustules 2-3 times/week for cosmetic reasons.
Pilomatrixoma (Epithelioma calcificans): Reddish-brown, calotte-shaped node that is displaceable in relation to the underlying tissue, slightly painful, slowly progressive.
