Lymphomatoid papulosis: now misdiagnosed as ulcerative "pyoderma". As it was a multiple relapse of the same disease, the diagnosis is clinically confirmed. Previously painless nodular formation within 14 days with rapid (overnight) central necrosis.
Xanthelasma. the existing skin lesions developed gradually over the past two years. about 1.0 cm in size, soft, yellow, fielded elevations with a smooth surface. no subjective symptoms.
Xanthelasma palpebrarum: 2 smaller symptomless yellow papules; in addition, a dermal melanocytic nevus (skin-colored soft papules) is found in the corner of the eye and nose which has remained unchanged for many years.
Alopecia areata of the eyelashes: since 2 years recurrent loss of the eyelashes (here on the upper eyelid detectable), which grow back after a few months, but then fall out again.
Severe contact allergic eczema of the scalp to a hair dye (paraphenyldiamine). massive swelling of the entire scalp and eyelids. arrows mark the visible redness of the capillitium.
Endocrine orbitopathy: known immunogenic hyperthyroidism (Graves' disease) with distinct exophthalmos, lid edema, chemosis and concomitant pain when moving the eyes.
Eyelid swelling in endocrine orbitopathy: known immunogenic hyperthyroidism (Graves' disease) with distinct exophthalmos, lid edema, chemosis and concomitant inflammation and pain when moving the eyes.
LIddermatitis atopic: severe chronic atopic dermatitis of the eyelid (eczema of the eyelid). permanent itching. recurrent conjunctivitis. doubling of the row of eyelashes (lower eyelid) with broken eyelashes, chafing effect with resulting chafing of the eyelashes on the cornea. therapy: Besides the symptomatic "eczema therapy" a radical surgical removal of the eyelashes is recommended in this case.
Airborne Contact Dermatitis: chronic (>6 weeks) extensive, enormously itchy and burning eczema with irregular, extensive infestation of the exposed facial areas including the eyelids.
Basal cell carcinoma, cystic. 0.6 cm in diameter, slowly growing for several months, elastic, soft, glassy nodule with peripheral telangiectasia. 65-year-old woman.
Syringome disseminated:skin-coloured to slightly brownish, completely asymptomatic, surface-smooth, roundish or elongated, broad-based nodules locatedon thetrunk and in the facial region.
