(¤ 1895, † 1983) Born in New York on 12.3.1895, Sulzberger studied medicine in Geneva and Zurich. In 1926 he received his doctorate in Zurich. Sulzberger received his dermatological training first in Zurich with Bruno Bloch, and then in Wroclaw with Joseph Jadassohn. In 1929 he returned to New York, where he opened a private practice. He later succeeded George Miller Mac Kee as director of the New York Skin and Cancer Unit, a position he held until 1961. His successor was Rudolf L. Baer.
