Microspore (Tina capitis caused by Microsporun canis) : Scaling and breaking off hair in the parting area in a 6-year-old girl. no itching. fungal culture: masses of Microsporum canis.
Microspore. reflected light microscopy: Capillitium image: Area with dystrophically altered, kinked hair shafts, hair shaft narrowing towards distal and shortly above the follicle ostia (cadaver hairs).
microspores. acute, since 3 weeks existing, constantly multiplying, slightly itchy, rough spots and papules. additionally circular foci with broken off hair stumps on the capillitium. green fluorescence in wood light
Microsphere. 2 weeks of persistent, size progressive, itchy plaques measuring 2.5 x 2.5 cm as well as 1.5 x 1 cm with distinct scaling, edge accentuation and central pallor in an 11-year-old boy. The skin lesions developed from 2 small papules which appeared for the first time about 2 weeks before.
Microspore: multicenter, acute, since 4 weeks existing, increasing, initially 0.2-0.3 cm large, later due to size increase and confluence up to 10 cm large, blurred, strongly itchy, red, rough plaques (scaling, crusts); highly contagious special form of Tinea corporis due to microsporum species.
