Marchionini, alfred

(¤ 1899, † 1965) Dermatologist. Dermatological training in Freiburg. In 1938 A. Marchionini left Germany due to the unbearable political conditions and went to Ankara in Turkey. 1948 Call to the chair of the Dermatological Clinic of the University of Hamburg. In 1950 he was called to the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. 1950 Foundation of the journal "Der Hautarzt". 1951 Foundation of the advanced training course for practical dermatology and venerology, today's Munich advanced training week for practical dermatology and venerology. 1954 Appointment as Rector of the University. Honorary member of over 40 dermatological societies around the world.
