Keratoakanthoma, classic type, short term, hard, reddish, hard, reddish, centrally dented, strongly keratinized lump with isolated telangiectasias on the surface, grown within 4 weeks, measuring about 1.5 cm, in a 51-year-old female patient.
keratoakanthoma classic type: 6-year-old patient. development of this 1.1 cm in diameter large nodule in 6 weeks. somewhat stalked painless solid nodule. the central horn plug has formed only in the last 3 weeks.
Keratoakanthoma, classic type: hard, reddish, central keratotic lump, measuring about 2.0 cm in diameter, grown within a few weeks DD: squamous cell carcinoma.
Keratoakanthoma, classic type: short term, grown within a few weeks, about 1.8 cm in diameter, hard, reddish, central keratotic nodule with bizarre telangiectasias on the surface, in a 71-year-old female patient.
Keratoakanthoma, classic type: short term, grown within a few weeks, about 1.8 cm in diameter, hard, reddish, central keratotic nodule with bizarre telangiectasias on the surface, in a 71-year-old female patient.
Giant keratoakanthoma: initially typical rapid growth of the symptomless node; no further growth for several months; lip formation with central honeycomb plug.
Keratoakanthoma, classic type. hard, reddish, hard, reddish, with a central horn plug, grown within a few weeks, measuring about 1.2 cm in diameter, symptomless lump with isolated telangiectasias on the surface, in an 83-year-old female patient. minor pronounced actinic elastosis with a rough wrinkle relief.
Keratoakanthoma classic type: In actinic severely damaged scalp opened, fast growing (since about 6 weeks existing) painless lump with peripherally raised wall and a central horn plug.
Keratoacanthoma: Solitary, 1.5 cm in diameter, spherically bulging, hard, reddish, centrally dented, strongly keratinizing node on the forehead of an 82-year-old patient; the peripheral, wall-like areas of the node are interspersed with telangiectasias and enclose a central, gray-yellow, keratotic plug.
Keratoakanthoma (type giant keratoakanthoma): painless lump 4 cm in diameter with peripheral lip formation and central horn plug; initially rapid growth; now no detectable size growth for several months.
Keratoacanthoma: A few months old, initially flat, in the last 2 months strongly progressive in size, coarse knot with a rough edge wall and a blackish (obviously bled into) central horn plug in a 76-year-old man.
Keratoacanthoma: Detail of a lesion of the thigh of a 65-year-old woman; evenly distributed hairpin vessels of the walllike tumor periphery, hyperkeratotic center and keratotic rim.
Giant keratoacanthoma (type: Keratoacanthoma marginatum centrifugum): 73-year-old patient with years of excessive sun exposure of the skin "within 3 months this tumor has developed", which has not grown in size in the last weeks. 4.7 cm large bowl-shaped, painless tumor with central healing tendency and raised edge zone.
Keratocanthoma centrifugum marginatum: Plate-like, centrally ulcerated giant keratoakanthoma over the sternum, persisting for about 8 months, with considerable light damage.
Keratocanthoma centrifugum marginatum: detailed picture with the typical features of the keratoacatoma (surprisingly fast growth, peripheral lip formation, central horn plug).
Keratoakanthom, giant keratoakanthom: Side view of the described giantkeratoakanthom .
keratoacanthoma. predominantly exophytic growing tumor with invaginated central honing crater. on the left side it is clearly recognizable that the lateral border is formed by "lip-like raised" normal epithelium. immediately below the KA a hair follicle with cystically dilated excretory duct is visible. in the dermis numerous follicular incisions are visible.
Keratoakanthoma: Mature keratoakanthoma with broad epidermal tumour strands matured in the upper parts and enclosing a central horn plug.
keratoacanthoma. detail enlargement of the basal tumor segments. in the upper image section, "mature cell" epithelial proliferates with enlarged keratinocytes with glassy-homogeneous cytoplasm. polymorphism of the cells increasing towards the base, blurred borderline to the dermis (lower image section). distinct inflammatory infiltrates in the dermis. numerous neutrophil granulocytes in the basal segments of the tumor.
Keratoacanthoma: Older keratoacanthoma with an inflammatory component, microabscesses of eosinophilic and neutrophilic leukocytes.
