Gougerot, henri

(¤ 1881, † 1955) French dermatologist. 1902 Start of his dermatological training at the Hopital St. Louis/Paris under Alfred Jean Fournier. 1910 Appointment as professor agrégé of general medicine. 1928 Professor of clinical dermatology and appointment to the chair of the Hôpital St. Louis, which he held until 1952. Field(s) of research: Gougerot-Carteaud syndrome ( Papillomatosis confluens et reticularis). 1925 together with P. Blum first description of the dermatitis lichenoides purpurica et pigmentosa. 1932 together with A. Carteaud first description of the papillomatosis confluens et reticularis named after Gougerot-Carteaud. 1935 first description of the pemphigus chronicus benignus familiaris named after Hailey-Hailey.
