Erythema e calore. 53-year-old female patient, who regularly treated herself with long-lasting heat applications (infrared lamp) because of back pain. Mesh-like erythema (no increase in consistency on palpation), each forming closed circular formations. In the upper right third of the figure the red tone changes to a brown tone.
Erythema e calore. reticular erythema caused by frequent use of a heating pad with distinct hyperpigmentation (see also hyperpigmentation,caloric) on the left thigh of a 60-year-old female patient. It is a paralysis of the deep vascular plexus induced by a chronic temperature damage. This leads to the formation of the characteristic livedo pattern.
