Calluses: circled pressure calluses. large semicircle with star = hallux valgus.

Callus: circumscribed pressure callus in diabetic polyneuropathy; extensive erythema of the sole of the foot in insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus.

Callus formation with dry, fine-lamellar scaling of the heel. Painful rhagade formations that run vertically again and again. Therapeutically successful here is the continuous mechanical thinning of the whallow region (e.g. 3 times a week with a pumice stone).
