Calcinosis cutis dystrophica: ulceration with a rock-hard, irregular base and reddened periulcerous surroundings; accumulation e.g. in systemic scleroderma
Calcinosis dystrophica disseminated: reddened nodules with painful central ulcerations and visible calcifications; the changes occurred bilaterally in the underlying progressive systemic scleroderma.
Calcinosis cutis. slightly atrophic surface epithelium. in the middle of the dermis sharply defined blue-livid masses (torn by the preparation of the incision). no significant collateral inflammation.
Calcinosis cutis. 20 MHz sonography; under echogenic reflex zones (white areas immediately above the black reflex-free zone), sharp dorsal sound shadow.
