- (¤ 1856, 1928) Born on 1.2.1856 in Timbaut near Agen/France Brocq he first studied zoology in Paris. Studied human medicine first in Berlin and later in Paris. 1882 doctorate (Exfoliative Dermatitis). Dermatological training under Emile Vidal and Ernest Besnier. In 1896 he took over the management of a dermatological department at Broca Hospital. In 1905, at the age of 50, he became department head at L'Hôpital Saint Louis in Paris (Brocq never received the title of professor). He ended his activities there in 1921.
