myxoma, cutaneous. moderately cell-rich new formation localized in the dermis and subcutis, fuzzily limited to the sides and depth. diffusely distributed, spindle or star-shaped, reticularly connected cells are found as well as deposits of gelatinous substances in the meshwork. ectatic vessels are particularly impressive in the upper dermis.
