Ulcer compression stocking

Usually two-layer stocking system for compression therapy of venous leg ulcers consisting of a lower stocking (knee length or thigh length) and an upper stocking (knee length). Resting contact pressure corresponds approximately to compression class III according to RAL.

Therapy and recurrence prophylaxis of venous leg ulcers after initial decongestive therapy with compression bandages

• Understocking with (usually) lower contact pressure to secure the wound dressing and as a sliding rail for the upper stocking, can be left overnight
• Upper stocking with (usually) higher contact pressure to achieve full compression, should be removed overnight
• Addition of the compression pressures and the material strength of the entire system. Therefore not only high contact pressure corresponding to approx. Class III at rest, but also high working pressure

- Ulcer stocking systems are available in Germany from various manufacturers. Some systems are only available as series, others as custom-made and series supply.
