Linalool

Linalool is the main component of basil essential oil . Linalool is also found in numerous other plants such as lavender, thyme, marjoram, coriander and oregano. It has the scent of lily of the valley.

Linalool is also one of the aromas in wines (e.g. muscatel).

The substance can be absorbed through the skin and can also be inhaled.

Type IV sensitizations are known, but are rather rare.

Linool is part of the DGK fragrance series. The test is carried out 10% in Vaseline.
