Astragalus membranaceus

The root of tragacanthis said to stimulate a weak immune system and dampen excessive immune reactions. For the latter reason, it is used for allergies, especially hay fever. Astragalus is also used for diabetes, cardiovascular problems, cancer and colds.

To date, few well-founded scientific studies.
