CXCR5 (C-X-C Motif Chemokine Receptor 5) is a protein-coding gene localized on chromsome 11q23.3. The CXCR5 gene encodes a membrane protein that belongs to the CXC chemokine receptor family. The CXCR5 chemokine receptor is expressed in mature B cells and in Burkitt's lymphoma. It binds to the B-lymphocyte chemoattractant (BLC) and is involved in the migration of B cells into the B-cell follicles of the spleen and Peyer's plaques, but not into those of the mesenteric or peripheral lymph nodes. May have a regulatory function in Burkitt lymphoma (BL) lymphogenesis and/or B-cell differentiation.

Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. Diseases associated with CXCR5 include intraocular lymphoma and lymphoma.
