Ulcus cruris venosum. ecthyma-like, infected (Pseudomonas aeroginosa) ulcers with yellowish-greenish or brownish coatings in an immunocompromised, 78-year-old patient with CVI. severely inflamed wound edges. the development of the ulcers is initially due to stabbing reactions about 15 months ago. the sutures shown are residuals of the previously performed biopsies.
venous leg ulcer. chronic, sharply defined ulcer in the region of the medial aspect of the right ankle. distinct flat tissue hardening of the surrounding area. picture of atrophie blanche in CVI. there is a broad hyperpigmented band on the back of the foot.
Bowen's disease with transition to Bowen's carcinoma: solitary, size-progressive plaque that has been present for several years, occasionally accompanied by itching, sharply and arc-shaped, border-emphasized plaque with increasing verrucous knot formation (white encircles the zone with the beginning invasive growth).
melanoma malignes amelanotic: since earliest childhood a pigment mark has been known at this site. continuous growth for several years. for half a year extensive ulceration of the node. constant bleeding and oozing. the diagnosis cannot be made on the basis of the clinical picture.
Eczema, contact eczema, allergic. 2 days ago, acute, disseminated, itchy, highly inflammatory, red (centrally also haemorrhagic) papules and plaques appeared for the first time in a 52-year-old female patient. The skin changes occurred after application of an ointment containing bufexamac for knee pain.
Purpura thrombocytopenic: line shaped (after scratching, as well as after application of a compression bandage) fresh and slightly older skin bleedings (cannot be pushed away diascopically).
Pityriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta: acutely occurring "colorful" exanthema with papules of varying size, measuring 0.2-0.8 cm, erosions, and encrusted ulcers; linear arrangement of the lesions in places
Ilven: Blaschko-lineare inflammatory "eczema-like" skin disease which developed in an otherwise completely skin-healthy 6-year-old girl within the last 2 months with mild to moderate itching.
Dyskeratosis follicularis. close-up: This picture clearly shows the macerated aspect of the skin changes in the intertriginous area of the hollow of the knee, accompanied by an unpleasant body odour.
Brucellosis. One month after a vacation on a farm, occurrence of several acute, pinhead-sized red papules localized on the lower legs, disseminated, blurred, flatly elevated, low consistency proliferated, red papules in a 16-year-old female patient. Besides, isolated disseminated pustules.
Livedo reticularis: Thigh of a 24-year-old woman after sauna with cold shower; additional findings: Cicatrix after excision of a nevus cell nevus in the middle of the thigh.
