Pemphigus vulgaris. multiple, chronic, since 3 years in batches, symmetrical, trunk accentuated, easily injured, flaccid, 0.2-3.0 cm large, red blisters confluent to larger, weeping and crusty areas.

Toxic epidermal necrolysis, detailed picture: hemorrhagic, extensive epidermal necrolysis in the area of the left arm after ingestion of vancomycin.

Dermatitis contact allergic: Acute, itchy, blurred erythema on the left wrist with blistering after wearing a metal bracelet, first appeared 6 days ago. Previously known costume jewelry intolerance.

Pemphigoid bullöses: multiple bulging vesicles with yellowish and hemorrhagic bladder contents; partial aspect of a generalized vesicular exanthema.

Dermatitis medusica: A few minutes after the contact event, representation of linear, strongly consistency-multiplied, flat-exposed plaque with scab and vesicle formation (illustration was kindly provided by Dr. Heike Luther/Essen).

Dermatitis herpetiformis: multiple, disseminated, eminently chronic, itchy, prickly, scratched excoriations, few vesicles (note: the vesicles must be sought in DhD).

Porphyria cutana tarda. extensive traumatically induced erosions, flat ulcerations and older and fresh scarring. onycholysis of the ring fingernail.

Porphyria cutana tarda: discrete finding with which the disease initially presents itself. after banal traumas subclinical blisters develop. here residuals with erosions and shallow ulcerations

porphyria cutanea tarda. shown here is a detailed picture of the hand with an overall generalized, chronically dynamic infection on the integument of a 55-year-old man. on the right hand, hemorrhagic blisters appear a few hours old next to older, crusty erosions and flat atrophic, somewhat depigmented scars. the blisters appear after banal everyday traumas. the blistering is combined with hyperpigmentation in the face and neck (melanodermic porphyria brugsch) and hypertrichosis lanuginosa of the zygomatic arch.

erythema multiforme: detailed picture: suddenly appeared, for 4 days existing, itchy, disseminated exanthema with cocard-like plaques. the skin changes appeared shortly after the beginning of antibiotic therapy for urinary tract infection. here the finding on the back of the hand. s. isomorphism (koebner phenomenon).

hand-foot-mouth disease: since about1 week, painful, blisters, pustules and papules on hands and feet. single aphthous lesions on palate and lip mucosa. about 2 weeks before, unspecific flu-like prodromas.

Dermatitis herpetiformis. disseminated, mostly eroded papules (vesicles not detectable here!) on the elbow and the extensor side of the forearm. recurrent course for months with tormenting, prickly itching.

erythema exsudativum multiforme. typical picture with different stages of development of the efflorescences. besides fresh smaller, flat papules, further developed, older larger plaques with discrete cocard structure. some plaques with indicated central vesicles.

Dermatitis herpetiformis. 3 months recurrent, disseminated, papules and vesicles on distinct erythema in a 59-year-old patient. in several efflorescences a blown off halo (bright rim) is visible. at the right border of the picture several fresh, barely 1 mm large reddened papules. the symptoms are described as unpleasantly stinging. no gastrointestinal symptoms.

Dermatitis, phototoxic. pronounced erythema on the left forearm in a 71-year-old patient who had sunbathed while undergoing doxycycline therapy.

Dermatitis herpetiformis. multiple, disseminated standing, itchy, scratched excoriations on the right arm of a 15-year-old patient. the scratched excoriations are located at sites where grouped vesicles had appeared a few days before. overall, the disease has existed for several months and shows a chronically recurrent course.

Erythema multiforme: typical picture with different stages of development of the efflorescences: besides fresh 0.2-0.3 cm large flat papules, further developed large plaques with discrete cockade structure.

Dermatosis, IgA-lineare. 29-year-old ptientine; for several months recurrent, vesicular and bullous exanthema; clearly itching.
