Syphilis acquisita: solitary, acute, 0.4 x 0.9 cm, indolent, coarse ulcer in a 19-year-old adolescent, occurred a few weeks after unprotected sexual contact.
artifacts. few partially excoriated papules in the sense of scratch artifacts on the breasts of a 35-year-old woman. the patient denies the artifact component. rapid healing under bandages (diagnostically almost proving artificial mechanism).
Lichen planus erosivus mucosae. extensive, painful erosive mucositis existing for about 1.5 years. overall progressive course. extensive painful erythema and erosions as well as extensive whitish plaques are visible.
Multiple, round, "eczematous" flat, sharply defined ulcerations in an otherwise healthy 27-year-old female patient. CVI, AVK or immunological underlying diseases were not detectable.
Alopecia, scarring. 2 years of rapidly progressing, very extensive, diffuse, scarring (no follicular structures detectable in the alopecic foci even with magnifying glass enlargement) hair loss in severely reddened scalp in a 73-year-old patient with Sézary syndrome. The patient previously had only slight alopecia androgenetica (stage II).
Lichen (ruber) planus ulcerosus: extensive infestation of the feet with verrucous and crusty deposits and therapy-resistant deep ulcers with rough edges.
Bednar's aphthae. large, very painful flat ulcers in the vestibulum oris covered with fibrin. 77-year-old patient has been suffering from these aphthous ulcers for 1 year.
Calcinosis cutis dystrophica: ulceration with a rock-hard, irregular base and reddened periulcerous surroundings; accumulation e.g. in systemic scleroderma
