Acanthosis nigricans maligna: generalized infestation with hyperkeratotic, beet-like aggregated, warty, papules and plaques on symmetrical hyperpigmentations; known and advanced anal carcinoma.
Acne cystica, densely sown, yellowish-white, skin-coloured sebaceous retention cysts and numerous "ice-pick" scars in the cheek and chin area of a 34-year-old woman.
Acne comedonica. general view: Recurrent multiple, disseminated standing retention cysts of 0.3-1.2 cm size on the back of a 38-year-old man, recurring since adolescence; multiple black comedones (blackheads) are also present.
Acanthosis nigricans benigna: symmetric, black-brown hyperpigmentations with velvety, partly also verrucous plaques. blurred demarcation from the surroundings. no detectable underlying disease.
Xanthelasma. 63-year-old patient with known hyperlipidemia. The existing skin lesion developed gradually within the last two years. 1.5 x 0.6 cm large, soft, yellow, fielded elevations with a smooth surface. No subjective symptoms.
Xanthomas, eruptive. chronically stationary or chronically active clinical picture with multiple, on trunk and extremities localized, disseminated, 0.1-0.3 cm large, flat raised, on the surface somewhat fielded, symptomless, sharply defined, firm, smooth, yellow-red papules.
