Rare, at first only in Japanese, but now also in other ethnic groups described, acquired, focal, atrophic connective tissue disease

Unknown, possibly age-associated.

Adulthood

Neck, more rarely the back parts are affected

White, non follicular, nonpainful, sharply defined, approximately 0.2-0.5 cm in size, rather inconspicuous flat; pseudoxanthoma-elasticum-like plaques (Gencoglan G et al.2011; Castilla C et al. 2016).

In the papillary dermis detection of fibrosis and homogenization of collagen fibers in signs of elastolysis (Gencoglan G et al.2011).

Not necessary. Individual papules can be excised. In individual cases laser therapeutic approaches (non-ablative Erbium YAG laser) have been successful (Lueangarun S et al. 2016).
