Leishmaniasis, visceral. liver biopsy. the amastigot leishmania are visible as small blue spots (the kinetoplast is not very clearly visible, only the cell nuclei can be easily differentiated). furthermore, many plasma cells, recognizable by the wheel spoke structure, are visible.
