Ultrasonic doppler

Device for recording the flow behaviour in the deep and superficial veins and arteries of the extremities. In particular the valve function of the veins can be checked. Doppler sonography is physically based on the emission and reflection of high-frequency ultrasound waves, which are able to penetrate biological tissue. If ultrasound waves are emitted at a certain frequency (4-8 MHz) and reflected at moving interfaces (e.g. on erythrocytes), the reflection frequency changes depending on the blood flow velocity, among other things.
