Trichosporon cutaneum: Microscopy of the culture: In addition to the yeast phase with spores of different sizes, the pseudomycelium is visible in the right part of the picture, which decomposes into arthrospores in places.

Trichosporon cutaneum. cultivar top: grown on non-selective chimney agar; raised colonies with air mycelium imitating aspect; moist white-yellowish colonies, growing rapidly; typical is the pleated surface with creamy splash like formations or radial rim.

Trichosporon cutaneum; underside of the crop: light yellow to creamy colour; sharp boundary of the colonies; central part of the colony surrounded by radial to folded edges.
