Trichophyton soudanense. culture top: grown on selective, modified (cycloheximide, chloramphenicol) cinnamon agar at 25 °C. Slow growing at room temperature (temperature of 35-37 °C stimulates growth), flat, grey-yellow to apricot-coloured colonies with serrated edges.
Trichophyton soudanense. underside of the crop: dark yellow, carrot-orange colour; serrated, relatively sharp border of the colonies.
