Tailor, wilhelm

(¤ 1910, † 2003) Dermatologist, working in Augsburg and Tübingen Born in Braunfels/Lahn, Wilhelm Schneider studied medicine in Gießen. Dermatological training at the dermatological clinic in Gießen. In 1938 he moved to the Dermatology Clinic at the University of Tübingen. After the end of the war he was the provisional director until 1946. He then became senior physician under Heinrich Gottron at this clinic. Habilitation in Tübingen on "Cold damage to the skin". 1952 appointment as head physician at the dermatological clinic in Augsburg. 1961 Appointed to the chair of the Dermatology Clinic of the University of Tübingen as successor to Gottron. Scientific focus: phlebological issues; vasculitis, pathophysiology of the skin.
