Prurigo nodules, papules, eczematous plaques, eczematisation, lichenification (Note: the clinical descriptions are so imprecise that it is difficult to distinguish the clinical picture from the prurigo simplex subacuta).

The clinical picture of "Prurigo chronica multiformis" is clinically very vaguely defined. Characterizing and confirming publications are so sparse that its entity is doubtful. It is possible that clinical pictures were originally described which can be assigned to the prurigo form of the bullous pemphigoid.

In Japanese literature the "chronic prurigo" is divided into two clinical subtypes:

• Prurigo nodularis (PN) and
• Prurigo chronica multiformis (PCM) (Keiko I et al. 2020).
