Plantar fibromatosis: Chronic stationary, subcutaneously located, skin-coloured to brown, approx. 5 x 4 cm large, coarse knot of a 60-year-old man, localised at the Arcus plantaris. 10 years of pressure pain and difficulties in rolling.
Plantar fibromatosis in progressive systemic scleroderma; rather strand-shaped pressure-sensitive, rough induration in the middle area of the plantar fascia.
Plantar fibromatosis. bulbous eosinophilic tumour, sharply separated from the surrounding structures, which completely replaces the deep dermis and subcutaneous fatty tissue. The epidermis is not involved.
plantar fibromatosis. broad connective tissue with a few vessels, rich in cells and collagen. a monomorphic spindle cell type with also spindle cell nuclei is impressive. a conspicuous pleomorphism of the tumour cells is missing.
Plantar fibromatosis. Spindly, desmin-positive cells with elongated nuclei.
