Mites. itch mite Sarcoptes scabiei. the body is unstructured, the rear part is strongly shortened (opisthosoma), the pedipalps (palpi) and chelicerae (mouth parts) together form a gnathosoma or capitulum (head) which is separated from the front body (prosoma). 4 pairs of legs characterize the adult itch mite.
