lichen nitidus. non-itching 0.2-0.3 cm large, individually and aggregated standing, surface smooth papules in the area of the penis shaft. condition after circumcision.
Lichen nitidus. chronic stationary, partly grouped, also linearly arranged (Koebner phenomenon), non-itching, non follicular, 0.1 cm large, white, smooth, round papules in a 32-year-old male.
Older stage oflichen nitidus: Granulomatous dermatitis with interstitial, well-defined lymphocytic and epithelioid cell infiltrate; focal epidermotropy.
Lichen nitidus. detail: dense interstitial infiltrate, only discrete vacuole degeneration of the basal keratinocytes. the keratinization is focal parakeratotic. multinucleated giant cells of the Langerhan type are visible in places (center and right side of the picture). this leads to granulomatous chakracter of the infiltrate.
Early stage oflichen nitidus: interface dermatitis with vacuolic degeneration of the basal epithelia, focal bleeding; orthokeratosis.
