Subsequently assistant and later habilitation at the Pathological-Anatomical Institute of the Royal Hungarian University. 1900-1903 he published three extensive papers on skin carcinomas. Krompecher's work laid the foundation for the differentiation of basal cell car cinoma (Carcinoma basocelluare) from other epithelial tumours.
