Note: In older NRF formulation notes this formulation was listed as "Lipophilic Base Cream" with the NRF label NRF 11.104. In current NRFs this formulation is no longer preserved. It is listed in the section "Stock Preparations" where the manufacturing instructions of all cream bases and liniments of the DAC/NRF are listed. As the base has received a test monograph in the DAC, it was renamed "Hydrophobic Base Cream DAC" and occupies the number p.41 in the strain preparations.

The almost white, easily spreadable cream is free of wool wax and thus a good alternative to the water-containing wool wax alcohol ointments in case of existing wool wax alcohol intolerance. It is easily absorbed by the skin but is difficult to wash off.
