HRGP is an antagonist of fibrinolysis, which is produced in the thrombocytes (see below fibrinolysis antagonists). It binds to fibrin and fibrinogen. HRGP is a competitive inhibitor of plasminogen due to its high binding capacity to the lysine binding sites.
