(¤ 1886, † 1963) Otto Grütz was born on 9.5.1886 in Laura Hut in Silesia. There he attended the humanistic grammar school. Studied medicine in Munich and Leipzig. In 1912 doctorate. Grütz received his dermatological training from 1919-1928 under Victor Klingmüller at the University Dermatology Clinic in Kiel. 1924 Appointment as senior physician. 1925 appointment as full professor. 1928 Appointment as director of the Dermatological Clinic in Wuppertal-Elberfeld. Also in 1934, he accepted a call to the Dermatological Clinic of the University of Bonn as successor to Erich Hoffmann, who was forced to emerit by the National Socialists. He headed this clinic until 1958. In the 3rd Reich he became a member of the NSV, but not of the NSDAP. Grütz managed a clinic in which numerous employees of the NSDAP were involved.
