Predominantly in lymph nodes, but also histologically characteristic granulomas occurring on the skin in various infectious diseases, mostly accompanied by lymphadenitis.

Lymphogranuloma inguinale, cat scratch disease, tularaemia, typhoid abdominalis, coccidioidomycosis, histoplasmosis, listeriosis of the newborn, M. Bang.

Center of neutrophil granulocytes, which may have disintegrated, up to cell-free central necrosis. Peripherally of which is a ring-shaped fringe of immature histiocytes and epithelioid cells. Giant cells may be present.
