Combination of a stretching or near flap plastic surgery with a free full skin transplantation of cartilage or bone supported skin defects.

General informationThis section has been translated automatically.

  • In the case of malignant processes that overlap the helix in the area of the auricle attachment and have not yet penetrated the cartilage, a stretching or suture flap plasty can be used in combination with a free full-thickness skin graft to cover the excision defect. The oval excision of the lesion while preserving the perichondrium is closed from the helix attachment to the upper helix area after proximal skin undermining and mobilization by primary suture and then the residual defect is covered by preauricular full-thickness skin. After oval tumour excision at the bridge of the nose, local dilatation plasty can also be performed in many cases, in which a part of the wound surface is primarily closed, followed by free preauricular full-thickness skin transplantation of the residual defect.
  • Indications: zones close to the auricle (Fig. 1 a-c), nose (Fig. 2 a-c), lower eyelid area.
