Epidermal cysts on scrotum and vulva L72.0

Epidermal cysts in the area of the scrotum and the vulva skin (large labia).

Usually multiple, 0.5-1.5 cm, bulging, yellowish, firm nodules with a pore-like central opening. After stab incision yellow-white masses can be expressed (this procedure is not a therapeutic option).

In a single case, the joint appearance of scrotal cysts (epidermal inclusion cysts) and syringomas has been reported (Diep M et al. 2020).

Epidermal cysts. Fresh scrotal and vulval cysts show the typical characteristics of epidermal cysts. Over time, calcification foci develop, which increasingly displace the cyst wall.

Enucleation with entire capsule in LA, if possible without opening the capsule. This surgical procedure can be performed at the patient's request.
